We got to see a few different Spidey suits in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but there’s one last suit that never made the cut — and one might say it’s Superior to all the others. Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Spoilers ahead for Spider-Man: Homecoming!

Concept artist Ryan Meinerding has revealed a piece he worked up during the development of Spider-Man: Homecoming that drew quite a lot of inspiration from the suit featured in the Superior Spider-Man comic run that found Otto Octavius' consciousness taking over Peter Parker’s body. The run, by Dan Slott and Ryan Stegman, was controversial among fans — but there’s no doubt the suit rocked pretty hard.

With this being Spider-Man’s first official foray into the MCU, it’s no surprise they went with a more traditional design for the main suit (though Spidey’s homemade suit was admittedly awesome in its own right). But we know Tony Stark already has a 2.0 suit ready and waiting for Spider-Man at Avengers HQ — so could the 3.0 version add in a bit of black?
