It’s hard to believe, but it’s been three decades since Johnny Five became a cultural icon in the 1986 classic Short Circuit. So, as we look back at the 30th anniversary, we’ve dug up all the things you probably never knew (or likely forgot) about the sci-fi classic.

From some bizarre, behind-the-scenes details about casting, to a not-so-subtle Terminator connection, to a look at the world at large that inspired the film’s setting (#ColdWarFTW).
