This video proves that The Fifth Element deserved an 8-bit videogame

Multi-pass -- now in 8 glorious bits!

We're not sure how to explain it, but there's something about the 1997 sci-fi action flick The Fifth Element that has made it endure far beyond the time most people probably expected it to. Is it the outrageous costumes, the oddball sense of humor, Bruce Willis as a gun-toting meat popsicle, or the orange-haired Milla Jovovich trotting around in, ahem, thermal bandages? Who can say, really, but it does have the ability to pick you up if you're feeling down.

And, in the same vein, so will this abbreviated version of the film as brought to you as a classic NES/SNES videogame.

Let's be honest, the Zorg Zf-1 is totally a gun someone would have in a videogame. In fact, how it never appeared in a Doom mod is geniunely preplexing. Only criticism -- where is Leeloo's other outfit, with the wacky orange suspenders and the gold pants? GET WITH IT, PERSON WHO PROVIDED US WITH FREE ENTERTAINMENT!
