Video: Winter comes to SDCC in Game of Thrones activation pop-up bar

Some people have all the fun, and when I mean “some people,” I mean everyone at San Diego Comic-Con’s Game of Thrones “activation,” i.e., an event with the sights, sounds, and screams of Westeros.

To wit: You can battle White Walkers. Also, you can take the Iron Throne (if you're tough enough). You can even be crowned the King in the North!

As you can see in the video below, SYFY WIRE was on hand to walk you through the whole event, replete with shots of Stannis Baratheon’s map room and the weirwood trees that silently watch the North. It’s reminiscent of the pop-up bar that’s currently being held in Washington, D.C., and we get to see it all.

But only the actual attendees get the Game of Thrones-themed beer and Dornish wine.

Please note: Although we mention that "the journey takes you all the way to Daenerys Targaryen's throne," the Iron Throne isn't actually hers. Yet. If at all.
