The History Channel has unleashed a first full trailer for the upcoming fourth season of its hit series Vikings filled with action, drama, battle scenes and its share of betrayals. And it’s gloriously Viking.

From the looks of things, Season 4 will see King Ragnar Lothbrok’s (Travis Fimmel, who’ll soon be battling Orcs in Duncan Jones' Warcraft) position of power among the other Vikings become even more fragile, especially in view of his brother Rollo’s (Clive Standen) betrayal at the end of Season 3.

He’s not helped AT ALL by his duplicitous wife Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland), who now covets the throne of Kattegat for her own selfish needs. Ragnar and his band of Vikings may have won the Siege of Paris, but as the trailer says, the war will never end. Check it out:

The Michael Hirst series is set to return on Feb. 18 (and I'm very excited about this, since Vikings is one of my favorite series on TV) with an order of 16 20 new episodes this year (there were only 10 episodes per season before), showing History’s complete faith and investment in the show. Much like The Walking Dead and Outlander the year before, Vikings will air the first 10 eps and take a midseason break before returning with the back 10.

Along with series regulars Travis Fimmel, Clive Standen, Gustaf Skarsgard, Alyssa Sutherland, Katheryn Winnick, Alexander Ludwig and Linus Roach, Vikings Season 4 adds Peter Franzén as King Harold Finehair, Jasper Pääkkönen as Halfdan the Black and Dianne Doan as Yidu to the cast.
