Vin Diesel has taken to his Facebook page again to drive fans crazy about his next move with Marvel.
We know that Vin loves to tease his fans about various projects he may be involved in, going all the way back to his famous first meeting with Marvel Studios. One tremendous result of that meeting was that Vin got to voice Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, practically stealing the movie with his one line of dialogue and co-creating one of the film's most popular characters.
But Vin has hinted for a while that Groot is not the be-all and end-all of his involvement with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and over the weekend he posted this:
As Vin himself said last year, his meeting with Marvel was about another, bigger role entirely -- and voicing Groot was more or less an extra happy offshoot of that. The betting money has said for a while now that the role in question was Black Bolt in The Inhumans. Now that that film is a reality -- it was announced as part of Marvel's Phase 3 rollout and will arrive on Nov. 2, 2018 -- it seems that seeing Vin as the ruler of Marvel's superbeing family might become one too.
If this comes to pass, Vin will join Chris Evans (Human Torch, Captain America) and Paul Bettany (J.A.R.V.I.S., The Vision) as one of a handful of actors who have played two different Marvel characters (and don't forget, he'll be back as Groot in Guardians 2).
Do you think Vin is confirming that he will also be Black Bolt in The Inhumans, and does that casting work for you?
