Vin Diesel is wrapping up work on his labor of love, Riddick, and it seems we could be returning to the Underverse a few more times if the latest sequel proves successful.
Posting to his Facebook page, Diesel offered an update on the latest Pitch Black follow-up, which we all hope will wash the taste of the ridiculous Chronicles of Riddick out of our collective mouths.
"I think they are liking what they are seeing...haha, cause they asked when both Underverse and Furya would be ready to make and release," he said. "[H]aha ... now that's a ways in the future but it is exciting."
Hmm, Underverse and Furya? Those could be interesting.
Sadly, it seems we may have to wait until the first of 2013 to see how Riddick is received, as Diesel says the studio is having trouble finding a theatrical slot.
"The studio said the earliest they could release the new Riddick is in January," he said. "Was hoping for 2012...but, it's on the horizon."
The latest Riddick finds the namesake Furyan duking it out with a mercenary team (led by Battlestar Galactica alum Katee Sackhoff) and alien predators on a desert planet.
What do you think? Would you like to see a few more Riddick sequels?
