Wait, did Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. accidentally reveal the Kree will be back in Season 5?

Production on Season 5 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is kicking off, and thanks to a set video, it looks like we might can expect the Kree to make their return to the Marvel series.

Star Chloe Bennet (who plays Daisy, aka Quake, on the show) was making a video while having a bit of silly fun on set with co-stars Natalia Cordova Buckley (Yo-Yo Rodriguez) and Elizabeth Henstridge (Jemma Simmons) when a man in full-body blue paint looking an awful lot like a Kree (and also looking like he borrowed Yondu's duster) walked into the background.

If true (so remember to take this with a grain of salt), this won’t be the first time the blue-skinned aliens have appeared on the series. The Kree have showed up on a few occasions over the course of the show, with their last appearance being in Season 3. They completely sat out Season 4 (which was arguably S.H.I.E.L.D.’s best season, ironically enough), as the storyline focused on the Darkhold and introduced the awesome Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) version of Ghost Rider, LMDs and the Framework.

With Season 4 ending on a jaw-dropping cliffhanger that seemingly had Coulson (Clark Gregg) in space, and the fact that they will be at the heart of the upcoming Captain Marvel film slated for March 8, 2019 (the movie will feature the Kree-Skrull war and be set in the 1990s), maybe the Kree will be at the center of Season 5? Food for thought.

Check out the video (and watch closely in the background), and let us know what you think:
