An actress who appeared on The Walking Dead may have taken that show's apocalyptic themes a little too far.

Shannon Richardson, who has turned up in small roles on both The Walking Dead and Vampire Diaries (we're talking really small -- like, they're not listed on her IMDB page) was arrested today in connection with letters sent to President Obama and New York City mayor Mike Bloomberg that were laced with ricin.

According to Variety, Richardson was arrested two weeks after she contacted the FBI to claim that her husband, Nathaniel Richardson, had sent the letters. Shannon alleged that she had found suspicious materials in her refrigerator that could have been connected to the case -- only now she is being charged with sending the letters herself.

The letter to Bloomberg read, "You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns. Anyone who wants to come to my house will get shot in the face. The right to bear arms is my constitutional God given right and I will exercise that right till the day I die.”

Richardson, a Texas resident who is pregnant with her fifth child, is currently awaiting arraignment at a federal court. Nathaniel, her fourth husband, was questioned in the case by the FBI earlier. The Associated Press (via Fox News Insider) reported that he is seeking a divorce from Shannon -- can you blame the guy?
