The cast of The Walking Dead is ready for battle. After losing the closest thing they've had to a home (Hershel's farmhouse), they're on the war path. This season, you can expect more deaths, more zombies and loads of action.

In a new behind-the-scenes featurette, the stars of The Walking Dead talk shop about season three. The last time we saw the group, they were mentally and physically beat down. They had several casualties and were fed up with losing loved ones.

"At the end of season two, they were at a very desperate and broken place," explains Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes). But that pity party won't last long. IronE Singleton (T-Dog) adds, "When we open season three, you'll see that there is no fear at all. So we're like a serious strike force."

Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) chimes in, "Everybody's more badass. Everybody's more pissed off ... In season three, it's a lot about people versus people, rather than people versus the Walkers." Everything won't go the survivor's way. They'll still have their fair share of obstacles.

According to Melissa McBride (Carol), "There's going to be some new locations. Very compelling new characters. Shocking deaths and hoards of zombies."

The Walking Dead returns Oct. 14 on AMC.
