The Black Panther is apparently taking his head of security with him to fight Thanos.

Deadline reports that actress Danai Gurira has joined the cast of Avengers: Infinity War, which is currently filming in Atlanta. Gurira became a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe last year when she was cast in Black Panther as Okoye, the head of T'Challa's (Chadwick Boseman) all-female security force the Dora Milaje.

So unless Marvel is getting into some experimental casting concepts and having her play a different part, it seems as if Okoye will be joining her boss in some fashion for the epic battle against the Mad Titan that Avengers: Infinity War is building toward. Either that or she'll appear in a flashback of some sort.

Either way, Gurira is a welcome presence in the MCU, and based on her performance as the fearsome Michonne during the past six seasons of The Walking Dead, we're looking forward to seeing her in both Black Panther next February and Infinity War the following May.

Before that, Gurira can be seen this Friday in the Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez on Me as the late rapper's mother, and of course she'll return to duty with Rick and the gang this fall on The Walking Dead.

Are you glad to see Gurira sticking around the MCU for a while?
