Robert Kirkman & Co. have managed to keep much of Season 6 under wraps, but we finally have the first big bit of casting news about The Walking Dead’s return.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton) has signed on in a recurring capacity to play the comic-book character Heath. In the comics, Heath is one of the major characters in the Alexandria Safe Zone, and eventually becomes friends with Glenn and works as a supply runner. He was first introduced in issue #69 of Robert Kirkman's comic series.

Considering last season found the gang attempting to settle into Alexandria, it’s no surprise the major comic characters from the community will be fleshing out the cast in year six. Alexandria represents the longest-running location in the comic’s long history, and we’d imagine the series will almost certainly be spending a good bit of time here. It’s high time we get to know a few more of the neighbors.
