Marvel Comics has had its fair share of fantastic (and sometimes surprising and unusual) couples over the course of several decades. Some have stuck together through thick and thin, while others got together, split up (or died), and got together again (sometimes multiple times).
Some of those legendary couples that were part of Marvel's long history include: Colossus and Shadowcat (who are finally set to tie the knot later this summer in Marc Guggenheim's X-Men Gold #30); Vision and Scarlet Witch; Cyclops and Jean Grey; Cyclops and Emma Frost; Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy; Hawkeye and Mockingbird; and Ant-Man and the Wasp, to name just a few.
SYFY WIRE has gathered the seven essential power couples of Marvel Comics to celebrate this year's upcoming Valentine’s Day.
Seventh on our list is X-Men's Gambit and Rogue, who have gone through the wringer together but clearly belong together. Our number six couple is Medusa and Black Bolt, the Inhumans' King and Queen and a royal power couple in every sense of the way. In fifth place we find Jessica Jones and Luke Cage -- while they have yet to become an official couple on Marvel's Netflix series, the two are married and have a kid in the comics.
The fourth couple on our list is also another regal power couple: Black Panther and Storm. Daredevil and Elektra take the number three spot as they alternately love one another and beat the crap out of each other (and sometimes both at the same time). Sitting at number two is Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson, while the couple taking pride of place on our list is ... well, you'll just have to watch the video to find out!
