Short of being able to attend the real Hogwarts (being Muggles and all that), fans of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter recently gathered at Universal Orlando Resort for a three-day annual celebration of all things Harry Potter (including Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them).
Taking place Jan. 26-28, the truly magical weekend featured star-filled Q&A sessions, panels, dancing lessons, wand training, awesome workshops, fun activities, fantastic cosplay, and more.
SYFY WIRE’s Jackie Jennings made her way down to Florida to attend and partake in the popular yearly event. So grab your wand and follow us through the streets of Diagon Alley, making pit stops at some of Potterdom's most iconic locations, including the Leaky Cauldron for a pint of delicious butterbeer.
Next up is a visit to the expo hall, where you can hide inside a book cover before taking a look at Harry Potter: The Exhibition and a close-up peek at the fantastic costumes made for the Warner Bros. movies. Then stop by the Scholastic booth, where fans left messages explaining how important J.K. Rowling's book series has been for them over the years.
The celebration also included the WB studio tour and meeting the team behind the graphic art for all the Harry Potter movies: MinaLima. Of course, no Harry Potter celebration would be complete without going through the Sorting Hat Ceremony!
