Even at 88 years old, Adam West can still bust out a pretty sweet Batusi.
It’s been a few decades in the making, but the star of Batman ’66 is finally back in action as the Dark Knight. We caught up with West at New York Comic Con to dig into what fans can expect from the new animated film Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.
West, along with the film’s director Rick Morales, tease a slightly darker spin on the character (dark for Batman ’66, at least) in the animated feature that pulls west out of Bat-tirement. Though the film is obviously what has West making the rounds at NYCC, no conversation with West is complete without touching on Bat-gadgets, the classic Batmobile, his undying adoration for the character, and even the classic Batusi dance that was a monster craze in the 1960’s. Spoiler alert: West still has some moves.
Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders is opening theatrically on October 10, ahead of a digital release on October 11.
