Brian Michael Bendis, no matter your personal opinion of his work, is unquestionably one of the most influential creative forces in comic books.
With landmark runs on the Avengers, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy and many other franchises, Bendis has shaped the direction of the Marvel Universe for the better part of two decades, and has created some of the most popular new super-characters of the 21st century, most notably Jessica Jones and Miles Morales.
This morning, the comic book industry awoke to the seismic announcement that Bendis will be leaving Marvel for an exclusive deal with DC Comics. While details of that deal are unclear (Green Arrow, Flash or Teen Titans, please), for the time being Bendis is still steering the fates of Miles, Jessica, The Defenders, and Riri Williams, and he recently sat down with SYFY WIRE to discuss his many creations.
Bendis chats about creating diverse characters, having his characters adapted in TV and film, his time breaking into comics with Jinx, the future of Powers and much more! So while we eagerly await news on Bendis' DC projects and the future of his Marvel creations, check out the video above for a fun look back at the legendary creator's career thus far.
