Brian Michael Bendis is enjoying a fresh wave of popularity with his recent leap over to DC Comics after a lengthy association with Marvel, where he was instrumental in co-creating characters like Miles Morales and Jessica Jones and contributing to the story arcs of Ultimate Spider-Man, X-Men, Avengers, Daredevil, Alias, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

In addition to taking up writing duties for The Man of Steel moving forward, Bendis also has a character-defining 12-page story in the massive Action Comics #1000 anniversary issue coming out on April 18 with art by the legendary Jim Lee.

Always up for an illuminating chat with fans and comic aficionados, Bendis sat down with SYFY WIRE's Mike Avila to touch upon the meaning of Superman's 80th anniversary, what readers can anticipate in his Action Comics #1000 offering, upcoming titles bearing the brand of his new Jinxworld imprint, the launch of DC Nation, and seeing his first baby Jessica Jones at C2E2.
