With the 2018 edition of Chicago's C2E2 now come to a close, it's time to take a look back at the wonderful nerdy happenings that took place over the weekend in the Windy City.

Editor-in-chief Adam Swiderski and contributing editors Karama Horne and Dany Roth (who are the hosts of SYFY WIRE's Who Won the Week podcast) were joined by Andre Meadows, host of our Snapchat show GEEKLY. The four of them assembled on our Live Stage for a super special video edition of Who Won the Week called Who Won C2E2?

So, who or what were the big winners for them at this epic convention?

Andre picked the interview he conducted alongside SYFY WIRE contributing editor Katie Wilson with the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants himself, Tom Kenny. While this was his favorite thing that happened on stage, what won the con behind the stage was a hug between Wilson and American Gods' Ricky Whittle.

For Karama, it was that she got to hold the cutest baby kangaroo ever from the Exotic Animal Sanctuary booth. Other non-animal-related stand-outs included hanging out with Justice League Unlimited’s Phil LaMarr and Susan Eisenberg and talking with the Fooly Cooly crew.

Despite the fact that there was a lot going over the weekend, such as having Guardians of the Galaxy's Dave Bautista and Sean Gunn on our Live Stage and getting to chat with some comic book talents, it was his date with Lucien the monkey that won C2E2 for Adam. Which he called his "Ricky Whittle Moment."

As for Dany, the big winners were the people that were there at the con. That and the fact that he got to tussle with a wrestler cosplayer for the win! The quartet even went on a scavenger hunt to find their best, weird, favorite thing plucked from the convention floor.
