One could call CM Punk a writer, a fighter, or a wrestling champ, but one thing we can all agree on is that he's an entertainer of many varieties. But he has not gotten to each pinnacle unscathed. As Punk says, "Everything worth doing is hard," and he's taken his licks along the way, but as shown by his two WWE championships, nothing is impossible if you're willing to put the work in.
At the C2E2 2018 Live Stage, Punk told SYFY WIRE about how he ground through those tough days to eventually reach the top of the professional wrestling world and later became a comic book writer. He shared with us how former Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso gave him the big break he needed to fulfill a dream of writing comic books, like the Guardians of the Galaxy spinoff title, Drax with Cullen Bunn, a Thor Annual, and Masters of Kung Fu. Finally, Punk faces his toughest physical and mental challenge by entering the unforgiving octagon of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and mixed martial arts.
Watch the video below and let us know what you thought about what CM Punk had to say and see if you can guess what his dream writing gig would be.
