Many would argue that Superman's greatest strength doesn't come from his Kryptonian powers but rather the small-town American values that he learned from his Smallville foster parents, Jonathan and Martha Kent.

It's the Man of Steel's sense of truth, justice and the American way that's celebrated at Superman Celebration, a four-day annual event in the -- appropriately enough -- small American town of Metropolis, IL.

Our own mild-mannered reporter Aaron Sagers attended the celebration this year, where he got to speak with the attendees about all things Superman ... and even got to talk with a Superman (Dean Cain, who played the role on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman from 1993 to 1997 on ABC).
