The third season finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. left us sad, stunned, and in the last minute, puzzled as we leapt six months into the future and found a different paradigm than the one we had lived with for three seasons.

Instead of a trusted ally and budding young leader, Daisy Johnson is now on the run. And being hunted by S.H.I.E.L.D. Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson) and Henry Simmons (Al “Mac” MacKenzie) spoke to Blastr at San Diego Comic-Con about Coulson’s new (currently undefined) position in S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as their apparent partnership now that Daisy has gone rogue (It’s like Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy in 48 Hours, Gregg joked).

Gregg praised Simmons’ acting chops, while also saying some positive things about the character of Mac, who seems to be “always mad” at Coulson, “but is always asking the great questions.” Simmons soaked up the praise. Because that’s what one does when Gregg turns on his charm.

Check out our video below, and let us know in the comments that you agree with me about how adorable they both are.
