Watch: Comic artist Michael Cho on making a great cover, working on Star Wars

We caught up with accomplished comic artist Michael Cho to talk about his boatload of work for Marvel and DC Comics, and the trick to making a perfect cover.

Cho told us he tries to create covers, especially variants, that are dynamic and as eye-catching as possible. He talks about some of his favorite works, form his Star Wars cover a while back, to a sketch of Kanye West. He also told us a bit about his Shoplifter graphic novel, and revealed he is still working on a follow-up, with some other books in that same series. He said they may not follow the same characters, but they’ll continue on in that vein. When putting a comic together, Cho said he tries to tell stories that can transcend genre and touch on a variety of elements and emotion.
