Watch Cumberbatch strip down for deleted Star Trek 2 shower scene

Following Damon Lindelof’s mea culpa for having shown Alice Eve as Carol Marcus in her underwear for no apparent reason in Star Trek Into Darkness, J.J. Abrams has released part of that deleted scene in which villain Khan (Benedict Cumberbatch) takes a shower on board the Enterprise.

The clip was shown by Abrams on last night’s Conan (May 22). The deleted scene has a buff Khan taking a shower while being his badass, brooding self.

J.J. was accused of sexism earlier this week for having shown Eve displaying some impressively well-toned abs and skin, which resulted in  Damon Lindelof apologizing about that scene

Abrams said: “I’m not defending it, but then there’s a picture of Kirk (Chris Pine) who is not wearing all his clothes.”

You can see the video -- including a view of Chris Pine in a state of undress -- from TeamCoco above.

What do you guys think? Should that scene have made it in the film? Does it change anything?
