It looks like preproduction for the Hellboy reboot is starting to heat up.

Daniel Dae Kim shared an epic Instagram video from the rehearsal gym this morning.

Kim had his hands full (literally with a staff and prop gun) taking on multiple stunt actors and calling the shots. Seriously, he has to call every gunshot to help his fellow stunt actors know when to fall. It looks like Kim has the fighting chops to honor the BPRD ex-Marine faithfully.

The former Hawaii Five-0 actor plays Ben Daimio in the upcoming superhero adaptation created by Mike Mignola. The reboot came under scrutiny when British actor Ed Skrein was cast as the Japanese-American character causing an uproar online and social media. Skrein volunteered to exit during production to make way for an actor of Asian descent and cited the importance of "representation of ethnic diversity" in Hollywood. The two actors met two weeks ago, and it looks like things went well.

Hellboy stars David Harbour, Milla Jovovich,  Ian McShane, and Neil Marshall is attached to direct.
