Watch as this daredevil climbs deep inside an active, magma-filled volcano

What would happen if you decked out in a heat-resistant suit and climbed deep into an active volcano? This, and it’s freaking glorious.

Sam Cossman and George Kourounis decided to climb into Marum Crater, one of the world’s most dangerous and largely inaccessible volcanoes. The volcano is located on the Ambryn island in the archipelago of Vanuatu. As the team notes, more people have actually visited the moon than made it this deep into the lava-filled bottom of Marum Carter.

Thankfully for all of us, Cossman took a camera crew with him into the heart of the volcano and captured this unbelievable footage. You can seriously see waves of magma (weighing so, so many tons) flowing just a few feet below him. It’s absolutely stunning.
