Jock (the pseudonym of British comics artist Mark Simpson) is one of our favorite artists. While he's probably best known for his work on 2000 AD and Vertigo's The Losers and is co-creator of the Image horror comic Wytches with Scott Snyder, Jock has also created some stunning images for the likes of Batman, Star Wars, Daredevil, Catwoman, Nightwing, and Swamp Thing. If you are a fan of his work, there was a recent book put out by Mondo called The Art of Jock, which serves as a stunning collection of his commercial, comics, and film work.

He was also one of the conceptual artists on Children of Men, Battleship, The Losers, Dredd, and another Alex Garland film, artificial intelligence thriller Ex Machina,  where he was responsible for the early designs of Ava.

Jock was kind enough to sketch the Dark Knight for us, which involves a lot of ink and Sharpies! He never gets tired of drawing Batman -- he says it's the simple shapes that make him one of the easiest and most enjoyable characters to sketch.
