If earlier sneak peeks have been strongly hinting that the kids at King's Dominion can barely suppress their darkest hedonistic urges, then SYFY’s latest preview trailer for Deadly Class lets them cast all care aside and just run gloriously wild in the streets.
Sex, drugs, rock n' roll, and a shared appetite for mayhem — it’s all on display in a clip that features Henry Rollins (poisons teacher Jürgen Denke) as the gifted academy’s winking voice of reason. “Have a good weekend, future disruptors of America,” says the ex-Blag Flag frontman — and the students waste no time taking him at his word.
It’s clear from the clip that no one has to fight for their right to party at this school, where bad behavior isn’t just tolerated — it’s encouraged. The fact that everyone’s possessed of razor-sharp lethal skills is just the icing on the cake, making the King’s Dominion Atelier for the Deadly Arts the perfect antidote for anyone who’s ready for a change of pace from all that stuffy, buttoned-down Hogwarts decorum.
At the center of it all, and perhaps not quite ready to dive headfirst into all the mischief, is Marcus (Benjamin Wadsworth) — the protagonist from the Image Comics series whose tragic and traumatic past may hold secrets even darker than the ones his classmates keep on the weekends. But at the feet of the ruthless Master Lin (Doctor Strange’s Benedict Wong), Marcus and the rest of his hedonistic peers redouble their commitment to learning the assassin’s trade — just as their parents before them did.
Executive produced by the Russo brothers (Avengers: Infinity War) and anchored by a killer (get it?) cast including Wadsworth, Wong, and Rollins, alongside Siobhan Williams, Taylor Hickson, Jack Gillett, and Juan Grey, Deadly Class matriculates at SYFY beginning Jan. 16.
