Hugh Jackman's Wolverine might have said goodbye in Logan, but that doesn't mean the X-Man can't cross paths with Deadpool. In a video posted to social media by Jackman, we see him sitting on his bed in his hotel room at CinemaCon, all comfy in a fluffy robe, trying to deliver a special birthday message.

The only problem is that Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds in full costume) is lying on the bed, singing "Tomorrow" from the musical Annie and inquiring as to who let the dogs out, referring to the song by the Baha Men.

"When you’re trying to record a heartfelt birthday message .... but are interrupted by the least greatest showman," reads Jackman's caption, a nod to his recent movie about P.T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman

Both actors had already interacted once at CinemaCon after a Chorus Line-style production promoting Deadpool 2 (out May 18).

The big screen relationship between Logan and Deadpool dates back all the way to 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, where the Merc With a Mouth was totally botched. Still, the two characters fought one another in the film's climax, which ended with Wolverine cutting off Deadpool's head. The "bromance" continued in the first Deadpool movie when Wade stapled a photo of Jackman's face to his own due to the fact that he was afraid his girlfriend Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) would be repulsed by his deformed, mutated visage.

We just hope all this hanging out between Jackman and Reynolds means that Wolverine has a cameo in Deadpool 2. Don't forget the production filmed a "secret cameo" in Los Angeles
