If you’ve been jonesing for more Eliza Dushku since the cancellation of Dollhouse, you’re in luck — she’s back in action with the new short film The Gable 5.

The sci-fi short comes with a fairly high pedigree, with Mortal Kombat web series director Kevin Tancharoen behind the camera. Tancharoen’s Kombat series was stellar, and this looks to be up to par. The production values are solid, the story seems tight, and we’d definitely love to see more stories set in this world. Plus, who doesn’t want more Dushku?

Here’s the synopsis for the sci-fi story's setup:

In a remote location, a secret facility exists unlike anything the world has ever seen. Run by Dr. Conrad Gable, a renowned neurologist, the facility is years ahead of it's time when it comes to the technology it's using to research the human body. With an unlimited budget backed by a classified department of the government, Dr. Gable's motives appear to be for the greater good of humanity. - The chance to create a drug so powerful it could be used to win every battle, every war, with no casualties.
