While we eagerly await for Moon director Duncan Jones’ upcoming epic fantasy movie Warcraft to unfold on the big screen, the first four clips and B-roll footage have made their merry way online.
The Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures film is a live-action adaptation of Blizzard’s hit MMORPG video game series and is based on the first game, Warcraft: Orcs & Humans (1994). Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Rob Kazinsky, Ruth Negga, Clancy Brown and Daniel Wu star.
The four international clips were wrapped together -- with a pretty pink bow on top -- into a single video and feature some quiet scenes as well as action-packed ones. I particularly love the moment of levity between the Orcs. It makes a nice change from The Lord of the Rings. The B-roll footage is also very cool, and we get to have a nice behind-the-scenes look at the gorgeous costumes, sets and movie props. Check it out!
Even though I'm sure by now you guys probably know the movie synopsis by heart, here it is again:
The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home. So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.
Warcraft opens on June 10.
