Diana Prince and the Barbarian of Cimmeria could quite possibly be the best power couple of the year in Gail Simone and Aaron Lopresti's new six-issue Wonder Woman/Conan title.

Acclaimed Wonder Woman scribe Simone has teamed up again with veteran artist Lopresti to merge Robert E. Howard's cunning Cimmerian with the amazing Amazonian gladiator in an adventurous union nearly eighty years in the making. This is a brilliant new series, utilizing the same creative duo that delivered the impressive Wonder Woman run for DC from 2008-2010, featuring an engaging, multi-layered story and pages of striking, detailed artwork.

Here's the solicitation synopsis:

What makes one a legend? How do legends carve their name into history, when countless others are forgotten? Wonder Woman and Conan the Barbarian are destined by the fates to be legendary, but when their stories collide, will both emerge victorious, or will the fickle Gods cut their lives short?

SYFY WIRE met up with Simone at NYCC to discuss handsome heroes in the Hyborian Age, the forward thinking of Conan creator Robert E. Howard, tricksy witches, why it took so long to bring these two warriors together, and how readers are going to love to look at this beautiful new comic.
