Gale Anne Hurd has been involved with plenty of potent box office hits and television shows over the decades, including co-writing The Terminator with James Cameron and executive-producing Aliens, Terminator 2, The Abyss, Armageddon and a little cable zombie show called The Walking Dead.
Her new project is Lore, a spooky new horror anthology show on Amazon Prime adapted from Aaron Mahnke's real-life scary stories podcast. The six-episode program seeks to peel back the layers on popular beliefs for mythical monsters, creatures of legend, and little-known historical events, all tinged with a touch of the bizarre.
It stars Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day), Holland Roden (Teen Wolf), Adam Goldberg (Dazed and Confused), Colm Feore (Thor), Kristin Bauer van Straten (True Blood), and Campbell Scott (The Amazing Spider-Man).
SYFY WIRE met up with Hurd, Roden, and Mahnke at NYCC and got the full scoop on what eerie tales can be expected, seeking out the origins of the werewolf and vampire mythos and extracting long-held truths to create a surprising and shocking new series.
Listen in and tell us if you'll gather around the TV when Lore premieres all six chapters on Friday, October 13.
