WATCH: Game of Thrones Season 8 predictions: Who’ll die? Targaryen theories!

By SYFY WIRE Staff

The final season of Game of Thrones is coming. That means a blizzard of fan theories and predictions—dare yourself to brave the ice zombie hordes of Reddit—is already here.

SYFY WIRE’s Jackie Jennings and Kristin Acimovic are hardcore GoT fans with some really burning (and freezing) theories about what, besides winter, will be creeping up on us in Season 8. Is anyone coming back as a White Walker? Are there more mistaken identities than just Jon Snow’s? Who will seize the Iron Throne? Most importantly, who will die?

“There’s no way all these people are going to make it to the last episode” was the consensus here.

There is one character who probably won’t be reanimating if he gets killed again. Whether or not you’re #teamjonsnow, you have to remember that he gave a sort of DNR to Melisandre so she wouldn’t bring him back to life by magic again. This does only apply to the Red Woman and not anyone else, meaning that if a Walker finds his lifeless body, you never know.

Cersei is a goner, which was another mutual agreement. Sorry if that starts a Reddit firestorm.

Some bloodlines are also questionable. Tyrion is a Lannister for now, but there is a chance he’s really a Targaryen, if you ask Kristin. The Mad King was after Tyrion’s mother in the books. There was some sort of vague reference to an affair, and if Tyrion really is from another royal family, he can finally throw away the guilt for murdering his father because Tywin Lannister deserved it anyway.

Something that legions of fans are dying to see is a real dance of dragons. Just imagine the brilliant spectacle of a fire dragon and an ice dragon clashing in midair, with ice freezing fire and fire melting ice. It would make the whole Song of Ice and Fire thing really legit.

Watch if you want to know who Jackie and Kristin think is going to sit on the Iron Throne and whether they think this was all a trippy dream George R.R. Martin had on a beach in 1990.
