It doesn’t actually have a U.S. release date yet, but we have the first trailer for a film that looks to be one of the most mysterious and beautiful sci-fi flicks of next year.
Dubbed Evolution, the film is directed by Lucile Hadzihalilovic (Innocence) and is set on an island inhabited solely by women and boys. There are also some strange medical experiments going on, and some disturbing (but gorgeous) visual cues. The story follows one of the young boys, played by Max Brebant, who starts to dig deeper to figure out exactly what’s happening to them all.
Apart from that, we don’t know much. The film has been playing the festival circuit, garnering some very positive buzz along the way, and has drawn a few comparisons to another mysterious and beautiful sci-fi flick that opened a while back in Under the Skin. If so, that's definitely not bad creative company.

Evolution is set to open in France in early 2016, though a U.S. release date is still pending.
