There are many exciting things in store for when Gotham returns for the back half of Season 4 on March 1. Not only do we get a couple of recasts in the form of Peyton List (The Flash) as the third(!) incarnation of Ivy Pepper and David W. Thompson (Green Room) taking over the role of Jonathan Crane, aka the Scarecrow, but Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) may be inching a tiny bit closer to the moment when he'll become Batman.

Furthermore, one of the things many Gotham fans are no doubt looking forward to seeing the most is Jerome's (Cameron Monaghan) and Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin's interactions in Arkham, of which we had a tease in the recent extended sneak peek.

Speaking to SYFY WIRE's Mike Avila, Gotham's Robin Lord Taylor opened up about the Penguin/Jerome (who is, apparently, NOT the Joker) team-up in Season 4B of Gotham.

"Isn't it always both things in Gotham?" was the actor's answer when we asked him if we were going to see an evil alliance form... or if the two iconic characters would be at each other's throats. "It's like everyone in our show drifts in and out of being an ally or an enemy and it crosses the board between the villains and the heroes. And it's also really exciting because it creates in our own fantastic over-the-top way, it mimics real life in the sense that no one is one way or another.

"Alliances change and everyone's using each other to get the upper hands, and it's a comment on dystopia that we do on our show. And to see the Penguin and Jerome together, I think it's going to be really exciting for people because, again, it's like we have order versus chaos. There's a place, especially Gotham City, where those two can work together. But we'll see how long that can last."
