This week’s video edition of Who Won the Week is taking a stab at the new critically acclaimed indie horror movie Hereditary and Marvel's newest TV series, Cloak & Dagger.

For this new installment, SYFY WIRE's Jackie Jennings' partner in crime is contributing editor Dany Roth (who also happens to be the host of the Who Won the Week podcast). The dynamic duo joined forces to take a look at this week's offerings in order to determine which one of them won the week of June 4-8.

Written and directed by Ari Aster, Hereditary stars Toni Collette (who is getting some Oscar buzz for her performance), Gabriel Byrne, Alex Wolff, Milly Shapiro, and Ann Dowd (The Handmaid’s Tale's Aunt Lydia). The story follows what happens to a family following the death of the grandmother and how it terrifyingly affects them.

The film scored pretty high for critics (earning a 92% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes at time of writing) but received only a D+ CinemaScore from the general public. Both Jackie and Dany loved the performances, and Dany went on to offer some hilariously great alternate titles that explain what the movie's about.

On Thursday, Freeform aired the first two episodes of its new Marvel superhero series Cloak & Dagger. Starring Aubrey Joseph as Cloak and Olivia Holt as Dagger, the show not only featured some great performances from the two leads (although we wish we had seen more of them together) but also had some nifty connections to both Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter.

So, do you think it was Hereditary or Marvel's Cloak & Dagger that won the week for us? Check out the video to find out and let us know who won the week for you.
