As the Alien franchise is going back to its roots with Alien: Covenant, we caught up with one of the film’s stars to talk about what it was like to go toe-to-toe with those terrifying xenomorphs.
Katherine Waterston, who plays chief terraformist Daniels on the colony ship at the center of the film, opened up about her character and how she is tested throughout the film and forced to find her inner courage.
As far as what it’s like to walk into Ridley Scott’s terrifying world of sci-fi horror, Waterston said it was definitely surreal to be surrounded by all the terrifying Alien imagery she’s been freaked out by ever since childhood (like most of us, except we don’t actually get to stalk around a spaceship).
As far as the physical aspects, Waterston said she became a bit of an adrenaline junkie by the end of production. She loved the freedom of doing these crazy sci-fi stunts and "diving in," pushing the boundaries of what she could do on the rough-and-tumble side of the production.
Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant opens May 19. Check out the interview below and let us know what you think.
