The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films invaded The Castaway Restaurant in Burbank, California, last Wednesday night to crown the best and brightest in genre entertainment at the 44th Annual Saturn Awards.

Besides Mark Hamill claiming a planetary statue for his acting work in The Last Jedi, the big feature winners of the evening were Black Panther, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Coco, with Better Call Saul, Twin Peaks: The Return, The Walking Dead, and Star Trek: Discovery being recognized in the TV arena.

SYFY WIRE was front and center on the red carpet to capture an interesting array of actors, writers, producers, and directors on their way in to the ceremony.

Join our Aimee Castle as she chats with Back to the Future's Lea Thompson, Child's Play creator Don Mancini, Ash vs Evil Dead's Lindsay Farris, Better Call Saul's Rhea Seehorn, Jumani: Welcome to the Jungle's Jake Kasdan, Channel Zero's Nick Anacosta, and The 100's Lindsey Morgan on the importance of fan culture and its crazy creative community, who they're most excited to rub elbows with, and which person they feel is the most influential in the sci-fi universe right now.
