Welcome to a world without superheroes. Crime is rampant. And the only person who can save the day is…the Joker? Wait, that can’t be right. <re-checks copy>
Wow. Yup. That’s right. In the upcoming LEGO DC Super-Villains video game, for which the official launch trailer just dropped, The Clown Prince of Crime is “putting a team of super bad guys together to take down ANOTHER team of super bad guys.” Wait. That voice is familiar. It’s…yes! It’s Mark Hamill!
Check out the official LEGO DC Super-Villains launch trailer below:
In LEGO DC Super-Villains, the Justice League has disappeared, leaving Earth’s protection to a newcomer group of heroes from a parallel universe, calling themselves as the Justice Syndicate. But the super-villains from the Legion of Doom discover Earth’s newest heroes may not be the heroes they claim to be.
Players can choose their villain, pick their powers, and
cause mischief and mayhem thwart the Syndicate's evil plan. After all, if there’s going to be anyone to terrorize the streets of Gotham or Metropolis, it’s going to be villains from this universe!
As the Joker says, “The chaos is so…INVIGORATING!”
Hamill joins a voice cast that includes Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor, Tara Strong as Harley Quinn, Michael Rosenbaum as The Flash, John Barrowman as Merlyn, C. Thomas Howell as Reverse-Flash, and Brandon Routh as Shazam.
LEGO DC Super-Villains is set for release on October 16 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. But you can preorder it here.
