Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been a successful experiment for the small screen, bringing together four solid seasons since its inception in 2013, providing fans with a weekly scripted drama centering around Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his crack crew of superspys battling weird science, Inhumans, Kree warriors, LMDs, Ghost Rider, and pesky Hydra infiltrators.
Landing even earlier than previously thought, Season 5 premieres Friday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC in an extended two-hour episode, which begins with the team abducted into outer space. But before the fresh seal comes off the debut chapter tomorrow, Marvel Television celebrated the milestone event of completing their 100th episode this week (see above).
Besides the cast, the cake-cutting party was attended by executive producers Maurissa Tancharoen, Jed Whedon, Jeph Loeb, and Jeffrey Bell, along with co-executive producer Garry Brown, President of ABC Entertainment Group Channing Dungey and President of ABC Studios Patrick Moran.
As you can see in the video above, SYFY WIRE recently joined the S.H.I.E.L.D. gang on set to lob some dangerous questions at the cast to see what hints and clues we might extract about this upcoming, and possibly final, season.
Join Jeph Loeb, Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Ian De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Henry Simmons, and Natalia Cordova-Buckley to learn the answers to five intriguing Season 5 inquiries, including whether or not we'll see Coulson and May hook up into the new year, and if the awesome shotgun axe might make a return appearance.
