When you're facing your older self, what do you do? Impressions, of course.
The entire X-Men crew, from the veteran stars of the original X-films to the cast of X-Men: First Class, has been out in full force lately to promote X-Men: Days of Future Past, including two generations of Magnetos and Charles Xaviers. Recently, Yahoo! managed to get Magneto to face Magneto, and Xavier to face Xavier, in a pair of junket interviews, and Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen requested that their respective younger selves, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, do impressions of them.
Now, both McAvoy and Fassbender had already done impressions of Stewart and McKellen in past interviews, but this time they had to face their senior co-stars for it. The result is rather delightful, but not just for the impressions. McAvoy's charming refusal to do a classic Star Trek line is particularly amusing, as is Stewart's reaction of pure joy when he hears McAvoy's impression of him. Plus, you get some insight into what Fassbender did to prepare to play a younger version of McKellen, voice and all.
