Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, the new TV series Mr. Mercedes premieres August 9 on the Audience Network. The show opens with a man, Brady, who drives a stolen Mercedes into a crowd of people. Two years later, Brady is bored and itching to kill again. He begins to tease Bill Hodges, the detective on the original case, who was forced into retirement due to an obsession with the crime.
We sat down with the cast, as well as director Jack Bender, at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about their roles and their favorite Stephen King properties. The show stars Harry Treadway (Penny Dreadful) as Brady Hartsfield; Kelly Lynch (Drugstore Cowboy) as Brady's mother, Deborah; Jharrel Jerome (Moonlight) as tech-savvy Jerome; Breeda Wool (unREAL) as Lou Linklatter, Brady's only true friend; and Holland Taylor (Two and a Half Men) as Ida Silver, a character who was not in the novel.
