With most critics buzzing about Ant-Man and the Wasp, we simply can’t wait for the Marvel movie to finally open in theaters on Friday, July 6.

During a recent press junket, SYFY WIRE’s Aimee Castle was on hand for an interview with Michael Douglas (Dr. Hank Pym), where the Oscar-winning actor gave us a preview of the newest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As you can see in this video, the veteran actor spoke about how his son Dylan encouraged him to sign up for the sequel after seeing the first Ant-Man, and opened up about his respect for actors having to act in front of a green screen.

“I had never done one of those green screen movies before the first one; now I feel like a bit of a veteran,” Douglas told us. “I have new respect for how difficult it is to act with a green screen when there’s nothing there and how good they are. And I also have real respect for what a team effort it requires.”

Douglas then went on to talk about the respect he has for co-star Paul Rudd, “who’s able to keep a perspective that with this huge budget and all of this, he comes up with interesting new takes or ad-libs or twists. And I think one of the things that separates Ant-Man and the Wasp is the humor.”
