Watch: Natalie Morales and Javier Grillo-Marxuach revisit The Middleman

Y'all remember The Middleman? It was a pretty fun sci-fi adventure show starring Natalie Morales (long before Parks and Recreation and Santa Clarita Diet) as a struggling artist who's recruited to assist a gentleman known only as The Middleman (Matt Keeslar), a freelance fixer of "exotic problems" (such as aliens, mad scientists and demons).

The show only ran for one 12-episode season over the summer of 2008, with the unproduced 13th episode developed as a comic book that wrapped up the series in 2009. It doesn't look like we'll be seeing any more Middleman anytime soon, but if the series were rebooted, what might be expect from it?

Natalie and producer Javier Grillo-Marxuach had a good time with this question, conjuring a scenario that involved Kiefer Sutherland as himself, Kris Kristofferson and a romance with Velma from Scooby-Doo.

Hey, we'd watch that. Twice.

Natalie and Javier also indulged us in a Lightning Round, which included such questions as which characters were their favorites to play/write, what their nerdiest tendencies are and, of course, a brief round of Frak, Marry, Kill.
