It’s been a long wait, but the nigh-indestructible cop-turned-vigilante known as Painkiller Jane is making progress toward arriving on the big screen!
Created by Jimmy Palimotti and current Marvel CCO Joe Quesada, the original Painkiller Jane comic series was published in 1995 through Palimotti and Quesada’s own publishing company, Event Comics, and launched to fan acclaim, which has led to Jane Vasko taking her war on crime into a number of miniseries, several crossover stories, and even a TV movie and single season of a show.
A Painkiller Jane feature film has been in development for a while now, with the latest news coming late last year, revealing that Jessica Chastain will star in and produce the film. Now SYFY WIRE's own Mike Avila caught up with the character's co-creator, Jimmy Palmiotti, who spoke about the film's progress, his history writing female characters, and much more!
Check out the interview in the video below and stay tuned to SYFY WIRE for the latest on Painkiller Jane.
