Robert Englund was one of the main attractions at Monsterpalooza two weekends ago in Los Angeles. During the A Nightmare On Elm Street Q&A panel he talked about the Freddy franchise and his legacy as one of the most iconic horror villains ever to slash up a screen — and even revealed his favorite Freddy kill.
During the convention, a new trailer was revealed for Englund's latest horror project, Nightworld.
Directed by Chilean filmmaker Patricio Vallardes (Hidden In The Woods, Downhill), this intriguing indie paranormal movie stars Jason London, Randall (Pink) Floyd of Dazed and Confused fame as an ex-cop watching over a spooky domicile in Europe. Englund looks dashing as the blind occult advisor, Jacob, and I'll admit that this little psychological thriller looks interesting, even if it does have obvious similarities to genre classics like Rosemary's Baby and The Sentinel.
Here's the official synopsis:
When Former LAPD Officer Brett Irlam takes a job as head of security at an old apartment building in Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia, he soon begins to experience a series of bizarre and terrifying events. Once he begins to delve deep into the building’s sinister history, and investigate its shadowy owners and past employees, Brett soon uncovers a malevolent force nestled deep in the bowels of the building in basement that will do anything to be set free into our world.
