For four decades, Sandy King Carpenter has forged an impressive career as a world-renowned storyteller. As an animator, script supervisor, producer and writer, she knows how to make stories resonate with audiences. On films from They Live to Vampires: Los Muertos, she's especially carved out her niche in the horror genre with husband John Carpenter under their shingle, Storm King Productions.

But what you may not know is that Sandy is co-creator of the comic book publishing company Storm King Comics. John and Sandy's comic book company launched in 2013 with John Carpenter's Asylum, which Sandy edited. And each year since, the roster of titles and talent writing for their anthology stories has only grown.

In an exclusive sit-down with Sandy King Carpenter, she tells us how Storm King Comics came into existence and how steering a comic book venture has expanded her creative horizons.
