One of the joys of comic conventions is seeing the cosplayers come out in force. At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, we were once again blown away by the cosplay artistry. The skill level of casual costuming fans and veteran pros is truly something special. Many cosplayers not only recreated their favorite comics, films, and TV show heroes and villains, they also fully stepped into their respective roles. That makes it a lot easier for fans to pick them out in a crowd.
But what if we could make that a little more challenging? SYFY WIRE's Katie Wilson accepted that challenge last month when she agreed to play a game of Three Questions. The way it works is that Katie was blindfolded and brought before different cosplayers. Then, Katie was given a limited amount of questions to ask the cosplayers so she could guess their characters.
Some of their answers were fairly easily detected lies, but at least they were helpful. Katie did pretty well in the end, with only one guess that was completely off. But there's no way she could have known that one Marvel character was cosplaying as his lesser known alias. It's definitely an '80s thing!
This video was optimized for a 180° view, so you'll get the best experience by watching it through a VR headset. Alternately, you can simply watch it here on display and appreciate the character work that goes along with the cosplay. You can even play along at home and offer a few guesses as well.
When you're finished with the video, you can check out a better look at the costumes in the gallery below.
