Before Batman: The Animated Series arrived, most people's non-comics perception of the character was shaped by either Adam West or Tim Burton. The show would change all that, however, and become for a generation the definitive depiction of Batman on any screen.

Now, 25 years later, the team behind the series is taking a victory lap at San Diego Comic-Con and celebrating the impending release of the entire franchise (including Mask of the Phantasm and Sub-Zero) on Blu-ray. Producers Paul Dini and Eric Radomski, Casting and Voice Director Andrea Romano, and voice actors Loren Lester and Kevin Conroy stopped by the SYFY WIRE studio at the con to talk about the show's legacy, how they found the right level of darkness, and how they crafted what many still consider the best version of Batman.
