We've less than two months to wait until the release of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the final installment of Eidos-Montreal and Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider reboot trilogy. The video game had a huge presence not only during E3 earlier this year but also at this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con, where we not only got a hands-on preview of Lara Croft's new adventure but also braved the jungles of the Shadow of the Tomb Raider activation.
SYFY WIRE's Jerah Milligan was even joined by everyone's favorite tomb raider herself, Camilla Luddington, who talked about meeting fans who are super enthusiastic about this new iteration of Lara Croft. "It's just exciting," she told us. "You kind of live in a box on a mo-cap stage for two years making it, and then you get to kind of see everyone else excited in it, and it kind of makes you even more excited for it to come out."
Luddington also explained how she brings Lara Croft to life. "Sometimes it is me by myself just playing in a room, sometimes we do voiceover for different parts of the game," said Luddington. "And that's just me in a tiny, tiny room being attacked by a jaguar and having to make whatever sound that is. So it's an interesting experience."
Now, talking about interesting experiences, the intrepid duo then walked around the Shadow of the Tomb Raider activation, where — WARNING FOR THE FAINT OF HEART — the manipulation of snakes and the eating of bugs are involved. Consider yourselves warned.
